Yikes! I'm reading a mystery now that mentions how spent fuel rods from nuclear plants are kept in pools of water, but I've never thought about the toxic side of things like the space program.
It's a mysterious place going all the way back to a pre-Columbian Chumash culture. 30 miles from downtown LA, a pretty cool setting for sombody's short story ...;)
